i give much respect to eddy for his love of The Who. Covering them better than anyone. I actually saw Eddy with his punk band C+ not long after John Entwistle died. They performed as a WHO cover band. The Low Numbers i think. It was touching how much Eddie loves The Who. He was not a great Roger Daltrey mimic but he was good. Long live them both!

It's always an honour to be copied - even if it is unoriginal and inferior. Don't forget , this wouldn't exist without the 1 and only WHO.

Roger Datlrey will never be outdone with Pete's music, but Damn. I love this version the most. I saw them perform at The Who Rock Honors and right then and there I was conformed to Pearl Jam's awesome-ness.

This version's BEST. AMERICAN MEN SOUND BETTER. The best rock vocalists are from the North West, i.e. Vedder, Cornell, Staley, Cobain. Exception is Mac Powell, Christian rocker from Third Day, a Southerner. Some label them as Grunge. I just say rock. THEY SOUND MANLY. Vedder RIPS this song open when he sings it. Even British Radio Head's Thom Yorke says "It annoys me how pretty my voice is... how polite it can sound when perhaps what I'm singing is deeply acidic." And for a Brit, Thom rocks.

Gotta comment cuz this is one of my all-time fave songs. This cover is great but without the Who's transcendent artistry. The guitar work is phenomenal but how the hell can this song begin withOUT the mysterious raindrops, the close isn't nearly as powerful without Moon's breathtaking drumwork, and the first scream around 2:25 is to the max, leaving nowhere to go, whereas Who's is more modulated allowing it to get stronger later. THis is a great rock song, but nothing like the original.
